Pixel 11 Debuts at $899 as Google Unveils Full 2026 Lineup

Google's Pixel 11 starts at $899, a $100 jump from last year. The company unveiled its full 2026 hardware lineup Wednesday, including a new AirTag rival and deeper Gemini features across devices.

Pixel 11: pricier, more storage, thinner camera bar

The base Pixel 11 gets a redesigned camera bar that Google says is more than 40% thinner than the previous generation, now stretching across the phone in an all-glass surface. Base storage doubles to 256GB, and Google dropped the 128GB tier entirely — part of why the starting price is $100 higher than last year's model. Google has also pointed to an ongoing RAM supply shortage as a factor in the increase. The phone ships in Frost, Hibiscus, Pistachio, and Obsidian.

Pixel 11 Pro and Pro XL: durability and Tensor G6

The Pro and Pro XL start at $1,099, up from $999 for the Pixel 10 Pro. Google says both models get improved drop resistance and a new anti-scratch coating rated more than twice as scratch-resistant as the Pixel 10 Pro. They're available in Canyon, Fog, Olive, and a new all-matte Obsidian finish.

The headline camera feature is Instant Night Sight, enabled by the new Tensor G6 chip and exclusive to the two Pro models. Google says it shoots low-light photos 4.5 times faster than standard Night Sight on other Pixel phones, cutting the shutter delay that causes blur in dim conditions. Both Pro phones also get a 48-megapixel telephoto camera with 30% more light sensitivity, and the Pixel 11 and Pro Fold get an upgraded 48-megapixel primary sensor that absorbs 56% more light than before.

Pixel 11 Pro Fold: lighter, thinner, tougher hinge

Google's foldable drops nearly 10% of its weight and shrinks almost 1mm thinner than the Pixel 10 Pro Fold, with slimmer bezels, a 48-megapixel main camera, and 30x Super Zoom. It keeps the IP68 water and dust resistance introduced on last year's model, adds a glass-fiber composite back cover, and a redesigned hinge Google says makes the whole device three times more durable than its predecessor. It comes in Olive and Obsidian.

Pixel Tag takes aim at Apple's AirTag

Google finally has an answer to Apple's AirTag: Pixel Tag, a tracker priced at $29 (or $99 for a four-pack) that connects to Android's Find Hub network, Google's answer to Find My. Users can locate a tag through the Find Hub app or from a Pixel Watch, and Pixel Buds owners can ask Gemini to find or ring a tag — a voice-first spin Apple's tracker doesn't offer.

Pixel Watch 5 adds health trend tracking

The 41mm Pixel Watch 5 starts at $399, the 45mm version at $429, and Google is also selling a $579 Stephen Curry edition with a workout-focused design. The Google Health app now provides monthly summaries of blood pressure trends and insulin resistance trends, aimed at helping wearers spot patterns over time rather than react to single readings. Pixel Buds Pro also picks up a new Olive colorway.

Magic Capture and Camera Looks round out the camera pitch

Google also demoed two software-driven camera modes built on Gemini. Magic Capture sits next to the Photo/Video tab in the camera app: select it, and the phone records a two-minute video while Gemini analyzes more than 500 frames to pull out well-composed still photos from the footage, without the user tapping the shutter. Full video is capped at 1080p, though Pixel 11 Pro owners can upscale it to 4K with Video Boost.

Camera Looks, meanwhile, lets users pick a visual style — Original, Natural, Shadows, or Vanilla, plus additional options like Digi, Black Tie, and Editorial — before pressing the shutter rather than filtering the photo afterward. Google says the looks are calibrated at the sensor level and visible live in the viewfinder, a deliberate break from the after-the-fact filter model most camera apps still use.

Gemini spreads across accessibility and voice input

Beyond hardware, Google leaned on Gemini for software upgrades. Live Transcribe now supports American Sign Language: point the Pixel Camera at someone signing and the phone translates it into text. A new voice-input feature called Rambler is built to parse run-on sentences and filler words rather than requiring carefully phrased commands. Circle to Search is now accessible directly inside the Pixel Camera app, letting users identify objects or translate text without leaving the camera view.

What to watch

The price increases on both the standard and Pro models put Pixel more directly in the price range of flagship iPhones and Galaxy phones, making the AI camera features — Instant Night Sight, the sign-language translation, Gemini-assisted tracking via Pixel Tag — the case Google has to make for the extra $100. Google didn't detail retail availability windows at the event beyond the announcement itself, so buyers weighing a Pixel 11 against this year's iPhone or Galaxy flagship should wait for hands-on reviews before deciding whether the camera upgrades justify the higher price.
